News I’ve always been interested in farming
When Björn Lundmark wants to relax he gets on the tractor or solves something practical on his family farm. Farming is more than a job for him, it’s also a big part of his free time. This helps him in his role as a Key Account Manager at Skandia Elevator because it’s easier to relate to the end customer.
Hi Björn! Tell us about your background.
– I grew up on a family farm that I took over a few years ago. Here I can relax and be close to nature, that’s peace and quiet for my soul. In school I studied mechanical engineering and I’ve worked at Skandia Elevator since 2006. I like that the work here is part of my interest in farming.
How does that help you in your role?
– It helps because I’m like a customer myself. It’s easier for me to understand the products in their context and to relate to the challenges that the end customer has. The fact that I know what I’m talking about and have a similar lifestyle helps me build trust.
What’s your experience with Skandia Elevator?
– I like that it is a family business where I get the space to grow as an individual. The industry really suits me and it is a stable workplace that I can recommend because I myself enjoy going to work every day.
Is there anything special you want to highlight?
– Something that really enriches my life is that I often get the opportunity to visit customers in different countries in Europe. Because of this, I’ve seen incredible places that I wouldn’t have visited as a tourist. That’s something I’m very thankful for and that never would’ve happened if it weren’t for my job.
